About the Program: Join NJDEP Fish & Wildlife staff and volunteers for a FREE hands-on fishing workshop that includes everything you need to get started! This introductory workshop will cover fish biology; how to set up equipment; safety practices; bait and tackle choices; how to cast; and fishing regulations.

New Jersey Fish & Wildlife is offering a 3-day, 2-night program open to students going into grades 10 through 12 in September 2025. This program is ideal for high school students interested in pursuing a college education in marine science or environmental studies. Cost: $350.00, however financial assistance is available.
